Subject: Bottle calves and Inforce3

Central Illinois
We always give Inforce 3 on arrival and haven’t been doing any more vaccine until about 350-400 pounds. The last group we weaned got the Inforce on arrival the first of November and we didn’t treat any more than normal through the milk feeding stage. however, The respiratory bugs have been tough to get ahead of since weaning. The weather has been terribly damp here just like everywhere this winter which I realize is probably part of the problem. We are getting ready to wean another group in the next couple weeks and was just wondering if another round of the Inforce 3 would help with this group or just be wasted money since they were already done. They were done 5 weeks ago and we will wean in 2 weeks.
