Subject: what strength tow rope do I need?

We have a 28,000 pound dozer and about a 34,000 pound excavator. I forsee getting one or the other stuck at some point so may have to pull one out with the other. For pulling stuff in the past that was stuck(tractors, etc) I always used log chains but figure a tow rope would be lighter to carry and safer. Trying to figure out how strong of one I need. It's hard to say how much pulling tension you could put on one I guess depending on how bad something is stuck. Any ideas? Also, where are good places to purchase them?

TIA
