North of London | Redoak pointed out this new barn from a trip he made last year so when the opportunity presented itself I went with our daughter to have a look.
It is on a rural gravel road and it was a cold winter day when we came on vehicles parked on both sides of the road a good kilometre from the barn so we decided we did not really need to see it that bad and continued on to find a parking place right in front of the barn.
I did mention it was cold, cloudy and windy so did not take any pics from outside and because there were so many people only a few inside
Do not know how many cows they are planning on milking here but the rotary milking parlour had 50 places I think with a large holding area for cows coming in and a pic in the barn.
Also a pic of the processor handling the reclaimed sand for bedding.
Sure a lot different from the 10-12 cow herds that were being milked when I was a boy.
Also a couple shots of a 'landmark' in the area as this silo was demolished.
It was built around 1960 beside a barn that was replaced after a fire in the 1950ies and the only barn raising that I ever attended.
Barn has been gutted including the barns 2nd story floor and is used for storing large bales of hay and straw stacked high
