nw NC | I had a conversation with a man today and I learned that his grandmother was a Circuit Court Judge in Dade County, Florida. It turns out she was very well known, quite famous in fact. Ellen Morphonios was a judge for 21 years from 1970 thru 1991. She was known as "Maximum Morphonios", " the hanging judge" and "the time machine" due to her handing out some long sentences to some offenders.
Quite a character she was. This country needs more no-nonsense judges like her.
