Subject: Talk me out of spraying pre behind planter.

Bourbon, Indiana
My dad use to do this and like everyone he got away from it claiming it took longer than just coming back with a sprayer to spray it. Were running a FWA assist tractor pulling a 1200 planter with two 200 gallon tanks on planter for 2X2 28% and have a front mount 400 gallon tank on front of tractor. We use to use the front mount for in row furrow but our studies are showing it's not paying for us. SO I'd like to use the front tank for pre emerge, I usually spray 20gpa with tractor after planting is over but if I go this route 20gpa is outta the question, will 10gpa be sufficient? I can get 30 acres per fill with pre, seed, and my 2X2 so stopping to refill would work for all products. Is there a reason I can't think of to NOT spray behind planter?
Tendering is not an issue, we have a 40' flatbed that follows planter everywhere anyway.
Yes I agree it will slow planting down but not having to come back to spray sounds like a win win for me.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
