| Local outlet for distillers byproducts contacted me last week wanting my to know if I was open to trying a new feed. I bought 4 tons just to try to a group of calves I’m backgrounding and to supplement my cows. I’m mostly interested in it as a backgrounding ration. Taking 4-5 wts and feeding for 4 months. It’s 5500 pounds of syrup 500 pounds of beeswings and 2000 pounds of corn screenings. 41 dollars a ton laid in. Hay is free choice in rings and this will be fed twice a day. I found an analysis on the syrup online to give a baseline on that. I will post an analysis on the complete ration when I get it. Will this work to grow cattle and any recommendations on how many pounds per head per day? Thanks in advance
