sw ontario | The funeral home where my Mother prepaid her funeral has closed so looking at what is involved in changing funeral homes & transfering funds....Now this may just be in Ontario ,But a prepaid funeral is not really any garauntee that it will cover costs. In it it lists Professional services, type of casket , cement vault ,opening grave,ect. but at the top of page it says "estimate".... She does have a bank trust deposit that funeral home must have deposited funds in (GIC) ,but last statement is from 2010. Is this the normal way it works . She got no notice of Funeral Home closing . If its just an xx$$ amount in trust acc't what is the reason for even going through a funeral home? tia | |
