Clay county, MN
Many of you probably dont remember me as I dont post often. 11 months ago I finally decided it was time to jump into the cow calf game. Thanks for all the advice at that time on my previous thread: https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=749615&posts=4...
I settled on some of my grandpa and uncle's registered Angus as they were downsizing. Got em for going rate of commercials. Got 12 bred cows (coming 2nd calvers through 6th calf) 8 bred heifers, and 10 steers which I will wean soon and background at least through winter. Still not sure what I'm gonna do for a bull yet. Haven't decided if I wanna keep them black or start crossbreeding. Have thought about doing AI on some with either Hereford or simmental and keeping F1 heifers as replacements and using a char bull on the rest. Still got plenty of time I guess. Meanwhile I'll watch them play in the straw.
