NE Oregon | How late has anybody seeded Teff and had success? I broadcasted 50 lbs. of Teff with 50 lbs each of turnips and radishes onto 38 acres along with about 10 lbs/acre of oats for a fall grazing cover crop. Did this after getting 2nd cutting of alfalfa/orchardgrass hay off and killing the stand. Broadcasted seed on July 30. Seeing pretty good germination, but not getting nearly as warm these days. Highs around or below 80 and lows about 40 at night. Just wondering how much Teff likes heat, and will I get much? Plan to graze in mid October with weaned calves.
