sc kansas | wondering if it would be worth it to swath and bale milo stubble after harvesting the grain here in sc kansas. we've had plentiful moisture this summer and guessing might get 2 to 3 bales an acre of green milo stalks. don't run cattle and figuring would have close to$22 a bale in swathing and baling hired done. how far would it have to be shipped to sell and what kind of value per ton would it be worth? may have 1000 to 1500 bales if we do this.
