WC Illinois | Seeing Olivetroads big project has me thinking about a smaller pond I need to build to water cattle. The pict below shows the two ravines I have to choose from. My question is (and maybe it’s a stupid one but the “ponds” I normally build have a big orange tile riser sticking up in them) can I simply key in and build a dam and let the water flood the trees and they rot and die over time or is that a big no-no? Will it leak if i do that? It’s going to be a pretty substantial cost to tear them out as I will have to hire that done.
Should I just bite the bullet and do it right like Olivetroad or can I get by with something less...as long as I don’t post it on Agtalk. ;-). TIA
