Subject: Is 2016 Corn Yield bigger than reported?

Northeast Iowa
2 part question:

Is taking ear weights going to help indicate the test weight of the corn?

Does the USDA take into account test weight on their average bushel estimate? Or is their calculation based in weight / acres?

For example, we harvest 200 bushel/acre corn. That figure is 11200 pounds per acre at a 56 pound TW.

If we harvest 200 bushel corn with a heavier test weight, say 60 pound TW we harvest 12000 pounds per acre. When it comes time to sell it as such, it actually yielded 214 bpa.

The figures across the scale might not match field estimates, bin measurements, or human appraisals.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, help me clarify my thoughts. After hauling corn this summer and not hauling any sub 57lb corn I'm just pondering if everyone else had great TWs not accounted for
