Subject: Insulating a heated floor.

Planning on putting a heated shop up this year. Going to pour a 4’ grade beam on a 32” X 10” footing for the foundation and insulate the outside of the grade beam and footing and floor with 2” styrofoam. My question is do we insulate the inside of the grade beam and if we do why?

I would like to skip the rigid insulation on the inside of the grade beam as I am not sure if it is good value for your money. This is what I propose to do. Flame away if I’m thinking wrong or have other suggestions.
