Galena IL | I have a 2006 IH truck with a DT 570 engine . Driver said it started blowing white smoke, he stoped checked engine oil level said look good, I told him to unload it ( has a TMR on it} got it unloaded but said it had very little power. When I got there had him start it again I noticed coolant running out the exhaust. He said he looked at the coolant level when I told him to unload it, he said the sight glass was about 1/2 full ,10 minutes to unload the radiator was empty. I assumed it must be a head gasket so we pulled the head. No signs of gasket problems, no coolant in any cylinders or in the oil. I thought that I consumed 6 gallon of coolant in 10 minutes that I would see the problem Now what should I do? TIA....Dennis | |
