Subject: Goosneck trailer advice? PICS

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
I bought this trailer ---but it is way too heavy for me especially at times I want to pull it w my 1/2 ton pickup-- before I use the torch to put it on a diet or trade it can some one tell me a use for the slide outs --(looks like they slide out 18" or more) or the place humped down to put tires or for that matter?--Looks like with a torch I could easily lighten it 1500# or more ---especially if I work on the dove tail and ramps which would hold for a good sized dozer now.

Also is there any reason to have a goose neck this heavy built? I like things that don't break but is this over kill ?

Any help appreciated Dan
