Subject: Removing chopper completely in corn??

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
This is my first year combining corn, and I am wondering about removing the chopper completely so as to not have cob flying around back there. I believe that there is a rubber shield that I may be able to purchase for my Gleaner M to help, but I am thinking just get rid of the chopper completely. Any thoughts??
