| I have an electric fence that has a low reading. The fault finder points to the charger. If I go out 300 feet it drops off. For every couple of hundred feet it drops off more. At nearly 1200 feet I have no reading though you can still get shocked. If you read the ground wire, the fault finder points to the rod. I thought it was the charger, so I have replaced it with a Speedrite 6000i. Same deal. I suspect I may not have enough ground rods but it does not make sense that I had enough last week. Also, we have had rain so there is a little moisture in the ground (I am in Northern CA, north of SF, at least until they secede, so the soils are very dry.)
