Southeast Colorado | I can't seem to figure this out. We've had this machine for years so I know it works without a bubble up auger. When it starts to push even really dry grain it must be backing up the clean grain system. We ran a pretty good day yesterday but the only way we were able to fill the bin up was to over tighten that long double sided v belt on the right hand side. I've turned everything separately by hand and it feels fine. The belt does make the idler jump pretty much like clockwork every second. I can make the jump go away by tightening the belt while the machine is spinning. Can't help but think there is a bearing out somewhere but I can't find it. By the way......this problem started when we broke the clean grain auger down in the shoe. We replaced it along with new bearings and it's been downhill ever since. I assume the auger breaking was probably a symptom of my real problem. Any ideas? | |
