Subject: The 80's

Cental Indiana
I've always enjoyed reading about the 80's. Not to gloat on the hardships but to learn about the lessons. Being born in the 80's I obviously didn't understand the severe repercussions that resulted and how it can effect a farm managers decision making about growth until I was old enough to understand. Sometimes that still catches up with me even in my 30's.

I constantly hear people saying that the 80's was the 80's and the past is the past. That the 80's was a perfect storm and intrest was the straw that broke a lot of operations.

After all I've been reading on here lately which hasn't been much because of harvest are we not there again? Is healthcare costs now the interest rates of the 80's. Maybe history did repeat its self? I sure hope not.
