SE wisconsin | I had my six year old out with me yesterday. Almost impossible to get him out to farm with dad, so I was excited to have him. I try to make it fun for him and get him interested in what I do. I let him run the combine and he did great, unloading and everything! Three weeks ago today I had a ombine burn in the middle of the night. Fortunately no one was hurt and I had a second machine to get me through this year. Crawled up to check the oil before we started yesterday. Tried teaching him the importance of checking the oil to keep the engine from blowing up. He asked "did you check the oil on the other one?" Smart kid! And yes I did. | |
