mascoutah, IL | Ok so trying to get a trip together to take the wife and two boys (11 & 15) skiing for the first time. That being said skiing will only be a small part of the trip. We are all first timers so not needing to go to the best ski area. I am looking for opinions on where to go that will have plenty of other activities. My kids get bored easily. I also like to eat, so plenty of options for food is a must. Will be going over Christmas break so I realize it will be crowded and more expensive. A few places I have looked at is keystone, vail, and Breckinridge but have a friend that said breck is more expensive than the others. Any tips would be great. I realize there are many other options. This is very foreign to me. We have been to the beach 6 out of the last seven years and I am ready to do something different plus I really hate the heat. Will be driving in from St. Louis so closer might be better. Also have heard to rent a place through VRBO and not the resorts for a better price. | |
