Subject: Wet wet wet

southern MN
Jeez, just flew my drone, sun poked out for a bit this late afternoon.

Water was shining back at me between the corn rows.

Acres and acres.

Hasn't rained in 36 hours now.

Looks wetter now than it has all summer, and this was a very wet summer.

Any depression anywhere is holding water still. The tile intakes have drained the surface water from the real low spots, but anything else, even with tile under it, is just holding water still. So saturated.

That was kinda depressing, I shouldn't have gone flying.

No pics now, haven't transferred to the iPad and don't want to look at it again just yet. ;) Besides pics don't show water very well (often looks like dark brown dirt instead of water), need to be moving video and then the sparkles show up.

I'm fortunate to have about 1/3 of my ground pattern tiled (would have been the worst), and 1/3 is high enough to not need it, the remaining third usual mostly drains almost good enough. Going to be a challenging third this year I think.

Paul
