Subject: Update on our Daugter, Faith



West Central IA		I asked for prayers for our 17 month old daughter, Faith, who suffered a severe seizure while we were in Colorado on vacation. Here is the thread:

They did an MRI after the seizure to try to find a cause. They were not able to find anything that caused the seizure, but did find a tumor on her brain stem that they still say is unrelated to the siezure. They had us wait and we did another MRI this last Friday to see if the tumor was growing or not. We met with the doctors yesterday and it appears the tumor has grown and is a danger to blocking an important passage of fluid, so she is scheduled for surgery on Oct 24 in Iowa City. They will try to get as much tumor removed as they safely can and will do a biopsy.

While the thought of our baby girl having brain surgery is downright scary, we do have faith that the Lord will take care of her. We continue to see the seizure as a blessing in disguise from the Lord because if she didn't have that MRI, we probably would not have known about the tumor until it was too late. We would sure appreciate continued prayers for her. And my wife is due with our 3rd child in early December, so some prayers for her through this would be great too!
