I think some of the ad's on TV have inadvertently nailed the importance of movie or TV actor endorsements.

At the bottom or at the beginning of some ad's running on TV now is a message saying these are real people not actors.  That sums up the reality of so many Hollywood actors, you prop them up, hand them a script and they repeat the words with the character you've assigned them.  And remember they are paid to say whatever they say, some directly and some indirectly.  Indirectly when an agent, producer or movie mogul has a point of view that the actor knows of and then parrots that view to improve their standing.

I wonder how many of us ever buy a product or do anything based on the statements of an actor.
