Subject: Hot weather on Corn and Soybeans

Morris, IL
How does it affect it and how much damage would one expect if any? We have plenty of moisture, to me that is huge, we actually are still little on the wet side for spraying or anything like that. Corn is in pollination, some toward the end and some toward the beginning but all in that time frame. Talking 90-95, high humidity, get down to 70's at night. This looks like it will only last 3-4 days, back in the 80's first of next week. What do you say, are we taking a bit off the top end or not? I know we're not doing any good on corn, i've always been told anything for 85 does no good.

Beans are at late R2 growth stage. I've heard that beans like the heat, again have tons of moisture. Thinking no damage here at all?

Just kind of interested what everyone thinks. Thanks.
