I have a field that has just 3-5 inches of sand on top of gravel and am wanting to make my watering more efficient. OM is 1-2%. I have been putting an 1" of water on every 4 days(we've been missing the rain) and am wondering if I'd be better off putting less water more often. This is just my second year with irrigation and the field.
