Just curious how others count. I was visiting with an agro associate the other day and the subject came up with regard to chemical and fertilizer application. I count every leaf from the rounded coleoptile to the last visible collar. He said he was taught to not count the coleoptile leaf or the next one. And he said some agro he knew didn't count coleoptile and next 2 leaves.
How do you count corn leaf stages?
