Subject: Screwed up some beans. What do I do?

NC South Dakota

Beans Planted May 8, Sprayed with 8oz Dicamba before emergence on May 12. (Mixup my fault, new to beans)
Beans are really showing stress and some areas are loosing leaves.
Agronomist is saying replant no question - Will do.
Do I need to kill the beans that survive?
Agronomist wasn't sure when I questioned him if killing them was necessary, just said that's what they usually do.

Basically what I'm asking is there any downside to letting what survives grow?
Can these earlier planted beans survive and not produce beans?
Thanks.
