Subject: soybean depth

Southern IL
JD 750 drill, no tilling into 5 ft rye(drilled at 1 bu an acre) depth seems to be inconsistent over the field, have depth maxed out. putting them anywhere from 1/4" to 2.5" depending on moisture and area in the field. And of course its a drill so there are a few on top as usual. Will this be a problem with emergence? I have never planted beans that deep, ground is moist but can they push through? 7.5" spacing on drill. ground is plenty moist. I have small hyd leak at the valve block, im going to fix in the am, but it still holds pressure while drilling. Thanks
