NW IN | Heifer had a bull calf Tuesday morning. Got him up and latched on to momma and he went right to it. I assumed he was getting colostrum since he stayed with it.
Now momma doesn't seem so interested and he seems to not care. I tied her off and got him up tonight and he made the rounds on all 4 teats. After he got done, her udder still seemed hard and It was almost like she's not dropping her milk down. He had a milk mustache so I assumed again that he was getting what he wanted.
Aything to worry about or just keep an eye on them and make sure he doesn't get any more gaunt than he already is?
