Texas | I recently bought about a 15 acre patch that borders on of my fields. This 15 acres has remained out of production for many years and is presently grown up with millions of small river elms that range in size from 1/2" to 2". The vast majority are about 1" thick and about 5' tall.
I am trying to figure out the best way to clear this land. As I see it my choices are:
1. Shred the trees down and then root plow the area and attempt to rake the root balls with the dozer.
2. Grub out the individual trees with the dozer.
Anyone have any other ideas?
TIA
