bellevue iowa | I pulled a bull calf from a heifer Friday ( not a hard pull). He was slow and not getting up so I gave him half bag clostrix and put in hot box . With in 14 hours of birth he got the other half bag. He has been doppy. He would stand but never nurse. Been milking heifer and milk replacer and tubing him. Brought him in garage last night because it was colder and seating out. Gave him vitamin b12 and 10cc tylan 200 orally Sunday. Last night gave 1cc banamine 5cc tylan AND. Milk replacer with 1 egg karo syrup and instant coffee and wow . A whole new calf through night. Sucked down 3/4 bottle and aggressive and he is peeing alot and smells like coffee. He is going back to momma shortly and see how he does.
