| Looking for some advice on a new laptop. I need a laptop to be able to take back and forth from my house back to farm (I live and work two hours away from where I farm with my dad). I do all of our mapping and record keeping as that is what i do for a living. However I don't want to load up our info onto my work laptop and all of our records right now are on our desktop at my wife and I's house. Want something that I can take back with me but don't want to spend alot of money on it. Would I be better off with a refurb running XP or to go ahead and get a new laptop with VISTA. We use Farm Works for our software. Even though I work in the GIS world I have yet to run VISTA on anything. Just looking for some advice on a computer that will work for me and be a good one that will turn into an everydayer for me as I transiition to the farm full time over the next couple of years.
