NS Canada | Slow day at the sale barn today, so I walked over and watched the pigs being sold. 230-260lb pigs - some pink, some black, some mixed- were going for 50-65c/ lb... So around 125$
No weaners there today, but they tend to go for 75$ up to 90 at times I've seen lately... Why would anyone buy the weaner and feed it for that? I was half temped to drag one of those big ones home today but I had the car. Big pig like that has to be worth that sort of money even when the grocery store has a pk of pork chops on sale for 10$ | |
