perryton, tx | I posted earlier about adopting a twin onto a heifer that lost her calf. Today is their 10th day together-the calf has been nursing at will ( heifer not restrained) for about the last 5 days and I see the heifer regularly licking the calf and moo-ing at it. I feel like it might be safe to go ahead and turn them out but would hate for them to immediately go their separate ways. Not only that but not sure if the original mother might recognize the calf. | |
