Subject: Built an air evacuated oil drain cart.....

West Central IA
And it I think it turned out pretty good and seems to work better than I expected. I have only tested it with water so far, but will empty 14 gallons in about 90 seconds with regulator set at 10psi. Oil will be slower if not hot but I don't care even if it takes 5 min.....it will be better than dealing with multiple 5 gal buckets.
Made out of 1/4 and 3/16 plate. Capacity in the pressure chamber is 14 gal, but have another 6 gal as "overflow" to the top. I couldn't figure out any type of valve or drain for the opening into the bottom so just used a 1.25" bung and thread the fitting in to pressurize it to evacuate. I'll probably cut a 5 gallon bucket down to sit on top if splashing is a problem....we'll see. It is just under 12" high so will fit under most everything I have expect maybe the wife's wk2.
I also plan to add a 20psi relief valve just in case somebody (young kids) get an idea to help dad and don't plug into a regulated air source.
It was a fun project...kinda looking forward to the next oil change now......
