Subject: Soybean FYI from St. Louis

Mascoutah, Illinois
St. Louis terminals offering folks the opportunity to deliver October soybean contracts yesterday.

1. Crummy prices
2. Late planting, almost all beans put in during June and July
3. Not enough basis even though we are plus 15-20

It is going to take some incentive to get soybeans especially with a short corn crop and plenty of new storage on farm in the past years.

Corn crop is all over the board here. Sub 50 to 215.

If you were under 200bpa last year in this area, you were ashamed. This year if you break 200bpa, you have bragging rights.
