Anyone else getting tired of reading posts about how anyone thinking about using PP or making the sound economic decision classifies you as lazy? Or better yet a worthless farmer from a younger generation. Get with it people, we have been fortunate enough to have crop insurance these days. We are paying for this insurance, so yes when it makes sense to not plant anymore and claim insurance that is what you should do. Not to mention on years like these when we need less acres planted according to the CBOT we should do that. If you want to plant when you shouldn't be planting then that is your own viewpoint, but it isn't a sound business decision nor one anyone else would make in any other industry.

For the record I have never used Prevent Plant before however was extremely close in 2012.

Sorry for the rant
