I am going to be seeding rye via plane on all my corn silage ground for erosion control before we chop it off. On some of the flat areas where there was a lot of truck traffic I like to chisel plow. I know rye will grow anywhere, but what will it do if I bury it that much? Maybe just seed it a little heavier in the first place?
