Subject: Combining CaseIH Air Bags with Precision Air Bags

Southern Ontario

I was browsing the local classifieds and found a guy selling the down pressure airbags and brackets (minus the lower linkage) from his 16 row planter as he upgraded to all Precision Planting parts.

The local Precision dealer has a slightly used Up/Down kit for a 12 row planter.

I was thinking of buying the parts for my 12/23 planter and adding the CaseIH down pressure bags to the 11 bean rows, and Precision Planting Up/Down air bags to the 12 corn rows. Is this possible? Can the 11 CaseIH bags be plumed to the down pressure side and still work correctly?

Main reason for doing this is I'm thinking I could save myself a bunch of money. $10,000+ for Precision on all 23 rows is a bit much for me.

TIA
