Subject: Running 2 different sized planters in the same field?

Southwest Iowa
We run red equipment and currently plant with a 24 row 1350 planter pulled with a 350 that has a Pro 700 monitor in it. We've got row shut offs and use omnistar for our guidance system.

Looking ahead, if we were to pick up some additional ground and felt like we needed to add a second, smaller planter to our operation, is the Case IH system able to communicate with each other so the guidance and row shut offs would work accordingly? For instance, could we use a 12 row planter along a fence line and have the 24 row plant right next to it so we end up with 36 end rows? Since the markers wouldn't match for either planter, would the tractors be able to communicate with each other to determine the distances apart they need to be? Same way with the shut offs. Could either planter plant into ground planted with the other machine and recognize that and know when and where to shut rows off or turn them on?

Just wondering if this stuff is possible with the Case IH precision equipment or would we have to look into a different companies stuff? I know costs vary, but what would some prices, ball park of course, run for something like that?

Thanks for any advice or help.
