Missouri | I'm looking for a good powered cordless can opener. A little bit of googling finds more than a few out there, but really no way of separating good ones from cheap junk. Right now we've got whatever cheap junk came off the shelf at walmart. I'm tired of fighting with it, and the cord is always in the way. I have a good size supply of rechargeable AA cells, so that would be first choice for a power source. Also, my wife is somewhat clumsy, and somewhat accident prone, so the safer, the better. Little details, like whether or not it leaves a nasty sharp edge on the can, are important.
I hope this is the right place to ask. I really spend most of my time in machinery talk, and I'm most comfortable with problems that can be solved with hammers. Opening cans isn't one of those problems.
