Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | A few days ago I reported that the local elevator's posted price for dry corn was $105 per ton ($2.95/bu.). Well, today I stopped by there to cross-check my moisture tester against their table top model. They didn't seem to be too busy and I asked them how it was going. They answer, " It was really slow last week but it has picked up some this week." About that time I noticed the posted price for corn was $136/ton ($3.83/ bu.)and I commented, "Wasn't your price $105 last week?" They answered, " Yes, but nobody brought any so we raised the price."
Well, $3.83 isn't great but at least it is close to market price.
