Subject: Nebraska Corn Yield Update

central nebraska
Done with harvest!

Hailed irrigated fields (all of mine hit) averaged about 185. Stand reduced from 34k to24k. This has been 240+ in past few years. Neighbors have been saying anywhere from 100-210. A lot of areas hit here, talking 10's of thousands of acres of high producing ground.

Replant planted 6/12-6/18 did 215 but wet, closer to 205 after shrink.

Beans did well. Stands all the way down to 100k did 70-80. Replants averaged 60.

I also manage some dryland in northeast Nebraska. Many people expecting 200-240. averaging closer to 170-200, a lot of talk of nitrogen loss from heavy rains( 3-5inches numerous times). Same fields last year averaged 192, only 187 this year. Can't speak for everyone, but this is what I'm seeing "here".
