Subject: 2" 16 ga vs 1 1/2" galvanized pipe for fence post

Central Illinois
Looking at posts for hog fencing. It will be going into a cement pad and be holding mature sows and boars. The piping is much heavier (don't know the gauge) at 1 1/2" then the 16ga tubing at 2". The 2" is half the price, it is for chain link fencing.

Do you think the 2" 16ga chain link posts would be strong enough if used every 8 feet?

I know longevity would be less, but I am just wanting 10 to 15 years out of them.
