Mosinee Wi | Going to wean my calves off this weekend 16 head.I need a recipe for grinding. A problem I have is I drive truck so I am gone a week or two at a time .We have a creep feeder that I fill .years past I would grind ear corn so the cobb was a good filler this year I have shelled corn. To keep them from eating to much corn I was going to grind either alfalfa hay or grassy hay as a filler.what size screen should I use?I also have oats to grind What else should I add ?In the past I would grind 30 bu oats,50#mineral salt,8 bales of hay and the rest with cobb corn.What about dry distillers grain?They also have free choice hay.Vitamins? | |
