My test weight concerns may have been overblown
SC Iowa
Like many places, corn in south Iowa is slow to dry in the field, and farmers have first half October corn to bring in, so it keeps coming...
yesterday I looked at two subsets of corn, and saw a sizable difference in test weight which leads me to believe we could end up with a 57+ crop...
corn over 20% moisture:
167,327 bushels
54.42 TW
22.62 moisture
corn between 16-20% moisture
161,327 bushels
56.59 TW
17.83 moisture

RE:Do We assume the test wt's have been corrected to 15.5 % moisture, correct
