Subject: Midwest nitrate test

Can someone explain what the numbers mean and if high nitrate can be grazed or green chopped and mixed for cows.

I took several samples from cut height +1'. So the samples were 1' pieces of stalk.

Mine read 2.49. Lab says 1.7 is OK.
