Subject: no till soybeans

central, Il.
Planted about 80 acres of no-till soybeans and they went in beautiful. Planted about an inch deep. Came up a rain that night of about an inch and another inch 5 days later. Neither rain was hard. During this time it did get cool. Then it after the 5 days it really warmed up. Now 2 weeks later, it is hard as a road. They are breaking their necks trying to come out. We are really hoping for another rain in the next 2 days but that chance is really slim. As thick as the trash is from last years cornstalks, hoeing is not an option. How long do you wait to replant? And how many of you long time notillers have seen something like this? tia
