Subject: corn residue moving in strip till

Humphrey Nebraska
I see peoples picture of strip tilling in corn stalks. Does anybody else have trouble with the residue moving back over the cleared path and when I plant it's like notilling into corn residue? I've stripped in the fall and a few weeks before planting but never a day or two ahead of planting. Maybe it's because I live in Nebraska and the wind seems to blow hard, a lot! I'm thinking I need to go back to tillage or forget the corn on corn strip tilling. If anybody has any good advice I'm listening.

Further down on the posts, I see people talking about an Aeroway. Does that pin the residue down? Around here If someone tried a turbo till a lot of the residue blew away.

If I had help would doing it right in front of the planter work? I'm thinking after the planter went over it the residue would just move around again and cause uneven emergence.

By the way I've been running a shank strip tilling but I've got an open mind about the coulter one. The cleared path looks great!
